Update - Autumn 2010

Hi everyone,

I want to thank all of you who contacted me with concern and well wishes after my heart attack earlier this summer. To update you, I had successful quintuple heart bypass surgery in May, rehabbed during the month of June and July, and attended "heart school" this summer which is the first full scholarship that I have ever received in my life.

August, 2010

I am back in the flow again with a new perspective and belief in the joy of life.

I was informed by several people prior to going into surgery that if I came out the other side, my emotions would be different. Anger was mentioned as a possible consequence. When I came out of surgery and regained a handle on mortal vitality again, I took stock of my emotions and felt nothing but joy,  gratitude, and thankfulness for the precious gift of life.

I have started to paint again. I have a new set of paintings for you to peruse:  Seattle, New York, Rabbit Hash Kentucky, a Michigan City lighthouse, the North Shore of Lake Superior, Columbus, Indiana, and others. New paintings, with a renewed heart and spirit.

Since my paintings are such an intuitive part of my heart, my purpose is to show that "celebration and joy of life" in my creative work, I hope you enjoy the new images that are evolving.

Sincerely,

    Jeff

i am a storyteller....... the oldest art form in the world.

my creative work is a simple reflection of that endeavor. sharing a story,

tomes in the form of books and paintings of the heartland and beyond.

i was born and reared with a gypsy soul for travel.

my paintings are a resonant reflection of that joy for venturing out on the open road.

to other places...other lands.

places that include both small burgs of humanity and large cities of the world.

all with common heartbeats of life.

this is my creative mission and purpose in life.

to explore

to reflect

to paint

to create

to tell a story.
